28th July 2026 – Western Star Resources Inc. (CSE: WSR) (OTC: WSRIF) (FRA; 42K) (the “Company” or “Western Star”) is pleased to announce certified laboratory assay results from the Company’s inaugural programs at its Rowland Tungsten Property and adjoining White Star Tungsten Project, both located in Elko County, Nevada, USA.
Blake Morgan, the CEO and President of Western Star, stated “Receiving results of this tenor, that exceed twice the reported historical grades mark an exciting development at the Rowland and White Star Properties, and demonstrate the high-grade nature of the system in the district. With the geophysics complete across both properties and the assays now in hand, we are building the integrated Jarbidge–Charleston dataset we need to move confidently into drill target generation.”
Key Highlights:
- Peak rock-chip assay of 4.02% WO₃ returned from the Rowland Main workings (sample RO-16-01), with additional standout results of 3.00% WO₃ from the White Star Batholith Mine (WS-16-02), and 3 further samples above 2% WO₃ from Rowland Main Zone (RO-19-15, RO-19-10 and RO-16-02).
- Outcrop, float and channel sampling at the Rowland Tungsten Property confirms high-grade tungsten mineralisation across all three previously identified zones of historical workings (Northern Zone A, Northern Zone B, and Rowland Main).
- Rowland Main: 18 rock-chip, float and channel samples returned samples including 4.02%, 2.69%, 2.56%, 2.11% and 1.25% WO₃, including reporting up to 110.5 ppm Mo, 6.82g/t Ag, 0.4% Cu, and 2.57% Mn
- Northern Zone A: 1 rock-chip sample (RO-15-01) returned 0.23% WO₃, 3.06 g/t Ag and 0.31% Mn, and 41.1 ppm Mo.
- Northern Zone B: 3 rock-chip samples in the vicinity of the historical processing infrastructure and shaft returned 0.35% to 1.22% WO₃ (peak sample RO-18-02) with a coincident silver and copper value of up to 10.85 g/t Ag and 0.8% Cu (RO-18-03) and molybdenum up to 119.5 ppm Mo.
- Initial rock-chip sampling from the White Star Tungsten Property returned 2 samples grading 0.13% and 3.00% WO₃ (WS-16-02), consistent with the recorded historical production grades from the Batholith/Mission Cross Mine, with a strongly anomalous coincident molybdenum credit of 711 ppm Mo at WS-16-02.
- Results will be integrated with the completed UAV magnetic geophysical survey and the pending soil geochemistry to support the Company’s ongoing drill target generation across the consolidated Jarbidge–Charleston tungsten footprint.
Rowland Tungsten Property
The Rowland rock-chip and channel sampling program was designed to test the three zones of extensive historical workings visited during the Company’s Phase 1 field program: Northern Zone A, Northern Zone B, and the Rowland Main workings. Samples were collected across open pits, adits, and outcrops.

Northern Zone A
One rock-chip sample was collected from Northern Zone A during the Phase 1 field program (RO-15-01) and returned 0.23% WO₃, 3.06 g/t Ag and 41.1 ppm Mo. The sample confirms tungsten mineralisation in the northernmost of the three zones of historical workings and provides a first-pass geochemical anchor for the follow-up program planned in this area.
Northern Zone B
Three rock-chip samples were collected across Northern Zone B, in the vicinity of the historical processing infrastructure and shafts. Results range from 0.35% to 1.22% WO₃, with the highest value of 1.22% WO₃ returned from sample RO-18-02. Silver values were also anomlous, returning up to 10.85 g/t Ag (RO-18-03), and molybdenum is elevated across all three samples (56 to 120 ppm Mo).
Rowland Main
Eighteen rock-chip and channel samples were collected across the Rowland Main workings, where the skarn system is exposed. Results range from 0.01% to 4.02% WO₃. Five samples returned in excess of 1.0% WO₃, headlined by RO-16-01 at 4.02% WO₃ and supported by RO-19-15 (2.69% WO₃), RO-19-10 (2.56% WO₃), RO-16-02 (2.11% WO₃) and RO-19-13 (1.25% WO₃). High values of another critical metal, manganese (Mn), were also consistent across the Rowland Main zone. Coincident molybdenum values are associated with the higher-grade tungsten samples (peak 110.5 ppm Mo at RO-19-15) and tin (Sn) is elevated across a subset of the samples (peak 36.1 ppm Sn at RO-19-16), consistent with the pathfinder chemistry expected from a scheelite-bearing tungsten skarn system.

White Star Tungsten Project - Initial Rock-Chip Sampling
Rock-chip sampling at the White Star Tungsten Project was preliminary in nature and focused on roadside outcrops that showed historical workings or visual skarn indicators. The initial rock-chip results are encouraging as the highest-grade sample was collected from a area not previously known to be mineralised.
Two rock-chip samples were collected, sample WS-16-02 returned 3.00% WO₃ and 711 ppm Mo and WS-16-01 returned 0.13% WO₃ from an area with little outcrop but Lidar analysis indicates a rehabilitated open pit zone.
Next Steps
The rock-chip and channel sample results will be integrated with the completed UAV magnetic geophysical surveys and pending soil geochemistry from both properties to support the Company’s ongoing drill target generation across the consolidated Jarbidge–Charleston tungsten footprint. Further soil sampling is continuing at the properties, and the Company will provide further updates as additional assay results are received and interpreted.

Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC):
Rock-chip and channel samples were collected by the Company’s field crew under the supervision of a Qualified Person and submitted to a certified independent laboratory (ALS Global (Reno, Nevada)) for preparation and analysis. Samples were analysed for tungsten (W), and 47 elements via ME-MS61: (Super Trace Lowest DL 4A by ICP-MS) and fusion XRF (method WO3-XRF10). WO₃ values presented in this news release are calculated from elemental tungsten (W) results using a conversion factor of 1.2611. Chain-of-custody protocols were maintained throughout, and standard reference materials, blanks, and duplicates were inserted into each sample batch to monitor accuracy and precision.
