Pasinex Resources Limited Announces Successful Ground Penetrating Radar Test Results from its Pinargozu and Akkaya Zinc-Lead Properties in Turkey

March 3, 2014 - Pasinex Resources Limited (CSE: PSE) (FSE: PNX) is pleased to announce that the Company has successfully completed the ground penetrating radar (GPR) tests announced on February 13, 2014, over its Pinargozu and Akkaya zinc-lead properties in the Adana Province, southern Turkey.

Using an UltraGPR antenna (www.groundradar.com), penetration depths from surface of 80 meters were achieved in the carbonate rocks on both properties (Figures 1 and 2). Radar reflection signatures indicative of geological features relevant to potential mineralization and drill targeting were visible over the full penetration depth.

Using a Mala shielded 100MHz antenna (www.malags.com), penetration depths from historical underground workings at Pinargozu of 18 meters were achieved (Figure 3). Again, radar reflection signatures indicative of geological features relevant to potential mineralization and drill targeting were visible over the full penetration depth of the underground tests.

Equally positive results were obtained for extensive testing also undertaken on Akmetal’s Horzum Mine, which occurs on strike from Pinargozu and Akkaya.

In the light of these positive results, Pasinex is making immediate arrangements to survey numerous additional surface GPR lines over both Pinargozu and Akkaya in order to better target the diamond drilling planned for both properties in 2014.

Steve Williams, CEO, comments “ Pasinex is very encouraged by these test results as we see clear geological features that are definite targets for our zinc exploration drilling. We think this technology will increase our prospects of successful drilling for zinc. We will now move quickly to complete a more extensive campaign of radar over our properties ”

Pinargozu and Akkaya are owned 50% by Pasinex through Horzum AS, its joint venture company with Turkish mining company, Akmetal AS.

Clinton Smyth, P.Geo and VP Exploration for Pasinex, is the qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101 who has verified the written disclosure of all scientific and technical information in this news release.
